How much does garden care cost? A plain-English guide

How much does garden care cost? A plain-English guide

Pricing is the first thing most people want to know, so here is a straight answer instead of the usual it depends.

For a typical garden, the cost comes down to a handful of things: the size of the space, how overgrown it has become, what you want done, and whether it is a one-off tidy-up or ongoing care. None of those are mysteries, and we will walk you through each one before you commit to anything.

The single biggest factor is the state the garden is in when we start. A garden that has been kept on top of takes far less time than one that has got completely away from you. The first visit on an overgrown garden is usually the longest; after that, regular visits are quicker and cheaper because there is simply less to do.

The second factor is scope. Mowing and a quick weed is a different job to reshaping hedges, clearing beds, mulching and planting. We are happy to do as much or as little as you like, and we will always tell you honestly where your money is best spent.

When you are comparing quotes, make sure you are comparing like for like. A cheap number on paper often leaves things out — like green waste removal — that get added back later. Ask what is included, what is not, and whether the clean-up is part of the price. With us, it always is.

We put it all in writing before any work begins, so there are no surprises. If you would like a real figure for your garden, get in touch and we will give you an honest, no-pressure quote.
